Fishery Rules

The following rules are intended for the welfare of the fish, the fishery and fellow anglers. Any person found in breach of these rules will be asked to leave the lake (rig inspections will be carried out on a random basis).

The fishery is intended to be operated as a friendly environment and not as a regime, however, we do expect the anglers cooperation in following these rules.

1. RODS : You are allowed a maximum of 3 rods for fishing at any time and must not be left unattended.

2. RIGS & HOOKS : Please only use rigs that are "fish friendly", no fixed lead, tether or bent hook rigs are allowed (includes Naylor long shank).
Rigs must allow fish to free themselves in the event of breakage.
Barbless or micro barbed hooks only to be used.

3. LINE : Must have a mimimum breaking strain of 15lbs, braided line or lead core not to be used.

5. UNHOOKING MATS : Large unhooking mats are compulsory.

6. FISH WELFARE : Anglers are requested to bring a bottle of Klinik (or equivalent) with them for treatment to any damaged fish.

7. BAIT BOATS : You may use bait boats providing that they are used sensibly and with regard to the other anglers at the lake.

8. ON SITE BOATS : These are available for the use of the anglers in the event of fish being snagged and for reasonable baiting of areas, life jackets are provided.

9. OPEN BARBECUES : As the lakes are located in a wooded areas, we are unable to allow open barbecues due to the high fire risk. Calor gas, camping gas or Coleman stoves are allowed, though care must be taken in using these.

10. RUBBISH : Has to be sorted, plastic sacks will be supplied to the anglers, no litter to be left around the lakeside.

11. BAIT : In order to ensure that the fishery is not spoilt and also that consideration is given to subsequent anglers, it should not be necessary to use more than 10 kilos of boilies and 25 kilos of particles per angler per week.
Particle baits must be properly prepared, no nuts or maize allowed.

12. GUESTS : Anglers may be accompanied by a non-angling guest at a charge of £20 per week.
We consider that the Moulinots fishery is not suitable for young children.
